Peterson Quality Office has been a staple in the Billings, South Eastern Montana, and Northern Wyoming business communities since being established in 1923 as Peterson Typewriter Exchange.
Founded by Adolf Peterson, Peterson Typewriter Exchange began as a small business equipment company in downtown Billings, Montana. Adolf’s very first employee was Neal Nelson, who helped Adolf grow the business and eventually became the owner. Neal’s son, Wayne Nelson, followed in his father’s footsteps as they continued to expand and grow Peterson Typewriter Exchange into a multi-faceted company encompassing both the ever-changing business technology and taking on Steelcase office furniture in the 1950s. Kevin Nelson, Wayne’s son and our current president, joined the company after college and is a proud 3rd generation business owner who continued evolving the business leading to its rebranding to Peterson Quality Office Furniture and Equipment. Known today as Peterson Quality Office, Inc., we are in our newly updated location where Kevin is joined by several other family members and valued employees in the mission of providing the very best products and customer service to our clients.
